Hello gents

I am looking for drawings, artist impressions, pictures of mockups and models of proposed production standard VTOL transport aircraft projects
Fairey Rotordyne,
Dornier Do-31,
LTV XC-142

Thanks in advance

This was recently posted somewhere else on this forum. It is supposed to depict a production version of the XC-142...

That doesn't look like the XC-142A - see photo. It looks C-17ish with tilt wings.

From what I have read (and liaising with Mark Nankivil)
This artist work is possibly the proposed production standard C-142 - it looking somewhat different to the prototype XC-142A due to the following reasons -

'In 1966, while the tests were still being performed, the Air Force requested a proposal for a production version, the C-142B. Since the Navy had backed out by this time, a major improvement was proposed to eliminate the Navy carrier compatibility requirement, which could dramatically reduce the empty weight. Other changes proposed for this version included a streamlined cockpit, larger fuselage, upgraded engines and simplified engine maintenance'

Hence this may explain the different appearance!

A picture (hopefully not already posted somewhere around here), of the production
version of the Do 31 (from Aviation Week 9/1964):
