I've heard different figures for the timeframe of the Regulus missile's development.
Some sources say that Chance-Vought was awarded a contract back in October 1943 for a weapon with a 4000 pound payload, other sources listing the program beginning in either June of 1946, or August of 1948 which had revised specifications for payload or range.
I cannot seem to resolve which figure is correct.
I'm tagging the following because of their knowledge on the subject matter: Andreas Parsch, Orionblamblam, sferrin
