As the aerospace industry continues to refine its craft, several companies and one country stand out as the industry leaders.

This voronoi-style diagram, created by Pranav Gavali, uses data from CompaniesMarketCap.com to show the world’s top 20 publicly-traded aerospace companies by market capitalization as of March 2024.

It’s worth noting that the data in this ranking excludes private companies.

Market cap is an odd measure to use, since it's just the product of ( number of shares x share price ). It's not a valuation that's useful to the company, since they can't access that 'value'.

Sales revenue would probably be a useful metric.

Market Cap is a daft way of doing it. Honeywell for example, the second largest company on the list, has 4 seperate divisions, each is huge....but only 1 is aerospace....

And where are the Chinese companies....

Basically a totally pointless exercise...
