Quantum Computing Thread

In my opinion, all that is allowed to be published about the supposed advances of two technologies as vital to defense as AI and quantum computing boils down to attempts by researchers to obtain funding for marginal projects that have been left out of the main sequence. Can you imagine the scientists of the Manhattan Project publishing in the New York Times that they had already achieved the magnetic refining method but needed more money?

I'm starting to lose confidence in Sabine's views, I think she's politically engaged.

Well the Manhattan Project already had unlimited government funding and no commercial links, so not really equivalent.
