I have to say, I prefer the new scheme. I always thought the regular/current/previous scheme looked a bit pale and washed out.

I found it to be restrained and understated along with being a nice combination white and two shades of blue.

Compared with the contemporary schemes such as Vespina on the RAF's Voyager or the l'Armee de l'Air and the CAF's A330 MRTTs, the VC-25 just looks 70s, Laker SkyTrain even. But that might be the idea.

I would expect a nation that produced such innovative designs and imaginative logos to produce something much more inspired.

I'd set up an open competition to create the new paint scheme of AF1, put out a template for people to draw on. Set up a review board to select the top 10, then do a referendum to choose the winner.

I'm very indifferent to the paint scheme on the bridge aircraft, as it kind of just looks like a generic airliner scheme to me.
