I'm start this topic for safekeeping information about of these a bit strange and unpopular things
first guest from Greece, it was made by Ordtech Military Industries (OMI):

The ZU-23-2 system (calibre 23 x 152 mm) although designed in the 1950s remains a highly potent, reliable, versatile weapon system and in wide use in more than 50 countries including NATO. The upgrade kit by Ordtech is a modular one (various options to suit particular Customer needs) aims to overcome shortcomings of the original design and with the use of state of the art 21st century technology results to a much improved performance, kill probability and mobility.

The upgrade includes the following:
01. New ammunition
02. Gun grew training simulator
03. Gun servo control system
04. Optronic sight system, Laser Range Finder and autotracker
05. Advanced logistic system
06. Vehicle mounting
Performance

Rate of fire: 1000 r.p.m
Slant Range: 2500 m
Azimuth: 280 deg
Elevation: -10 deg to +90 deg
Reaction Time: 20 s

polish project ZU-23-2KW

The ZU-23-2 is one of the most widespread anti-aircraft artillery systems in the world. Its versatility, easy operation and effectiveness in fighting targets means that it is used by the armed forces of many countries. In the conflicts of recent years, this system has also proved to be an excellent means of protecting ad hoc military bases, allowing to effectively destroy and incapacitate not only air targets, but also ground targets with equal success.

Alfa Sp. z o.o. together with other companies of the Polish defense industry, it offers the currently widely used version of the ZU-23-2KW. The aim of the modernization in this version is primarily to improve the fire efficiency of the cannons by modernizing the guidance mechanisms and sights. The version offered by the Polish defense industry is equipped with a modern CKE-1N red dot sight, which, in the opinion of many experts, is optimal for this anti-aircraft system. This sight uses optics that also includes a night vision system.

The modernization of the guidance mechanisms primarily involves the introduction of electric drives that change the horizontal position of the gun as well as the vertical elevation angle. The modernized control system involves the use of a joystick (or yoke) and the assembly of the operator panel. Speed control is realized by means of a joystick on the sighting stand. The operating element for the sight is the LED panel. It shows the states of devices and sensors installed at the fire station.

As a result of the modernization to the ZU-23-2KW version offered by the Polish defense industry, an extremely effective anti-aircraft system was created, characterized by high mobility, short preparation time for firing, easy logistic handling and, above all, versatility - the ability to precisely destroy and incapacitate various targets. The above features of the Polish ZU-23-2KW set make it one of the most effective systems in its class.

given the number of ZU-23-2s worldwide there is quite a market.

The 23mm round, like that of the 20mm and 25 mm is becoming somewhat short ranged on todays battlefield for AAA especially in the VSHORAD role. My own view is that today at the minimum you need both the reach and hitting power of the 30mm round, especially against attack helicopters with most carrying a 30mm gun. The same can be said for anti missile defence because you want to knock them down further away. That's why I strongly believe that the Phalanx 20mm CIWS is past its use by date. Don't get me wrong the ZSU-23 is mean weapon especially if it's the ZSU-23/4 variant, but it just doesn't have the reach required today.

Implying difference between 23mm and 30mm ballistics will make any difference in work against helicopters.

It won't. It wouldn't since 70s when widespread use of ATGMs from helicopters became a proper thing.

Gun systems such as these are becoming less of an option on the rapidly changing
battlefields of today.

I'd argue the opposite. The need to kill large numbers of UAV's/Loitering Munition's at a non-financially crippling cost is going to be paramount. Simple fact is most nations stockpiles of SAM's are actually miniscule. They just can't afford to be slinging missiles at low flying drones because by Day 3 of the war they'll be totally defenceless against any air threat.

It's going to be a mix of RF disruptors/Microwaves/Laser Systems with Gun/Lower tier Missile systems that will be needed to stay alive...or even to protect the real SAM systems from things like HAROP...

But 23mm isn't a great calibre...airburst munitions are required, 30mm has been done but the blast radius isn't great. 35 to 40mm seems to be the sweet spot for rapid firing cannons and worthwhile proximity ammunition.

Two afaik unrelated projects to upgrade the Artemis 30 and Bofors L70 respectively by adding stinger mounts
Seems like a very good way to increase the versatility of these guns, however im always sceptical how well stinger integrates with the existing fire control systems

Another Stinger/Gun combination: This time the 35mm Oerlikon GDF
