Below the ring relative to the cross - the plane is below a predetermined flight path, the ring above the cross - the plane is above a predetermined flight path.

The task of the pilot, while controlling the aircraft, is to keep a moving reticle placed on the cross, and therefore fly at a given height with the envelope around the terrain. PPV in this case serves as a command device.

PPV is also used for aircraft navigation. The arrow of the current range shows the distance to the MRP, the arrow of the allowed range shows the distance to the MRP, at which the aircraft will begin to turn on the next turning.

I listed all this for you so that you would understand that PPV is not the last device in the cab, it is needed, it is important.

On all 1,200 manufactured Su-24, Su-24m, Su-24mr aircraft, PPV did not provide for ADJUSTING the brightness of the backlight of the PPV scales and adjusting the brightness of the reticle.
They shone equally brightly and with their bright light clogged your eyes, impairing your ability to see in the dark.
You sit in the cockpit, adjust the backlight of the cockpit devices depending on the darkness of the night.
The darker the night, the weaker the backlight.
And only with PPV - you can’t do anything.

Its bright scales clog you with balls, its bright aiming marks do not allow you to see the silhouette of a ship in the night, low-altitude flight targets for guiding you during VR and taking pictures.

In the end, I simply scoffed at this "author's supervision", knowing that they would not do anything at all.
PPV-1V their company developed, it passed the state tests, went into the series, their shop cut down a denyuzhku for him, and the fact that hundreds of pilots fucked with him squatting, their mother's office, so this is the problem of pilots.

I have the cheapest radio that can’t catch anything except the Lighthouse, it has an adjustable backlight frequency scale.
And on the plane !!!! the brightness of the backlight of the PPV scales, which occupies half of the windshield in front of me, is not adjustable, it clogs my eyesight in flight at extremely low altitude, interferes with piloting, and you are not even trying to fix anything!

So the staff, Vladimir Andreevich, if our designers beat the tap to whom, it’s only before the test pilots. And as they took the car into the series - they all went on, God will serve the poor. They do not seek to correct frank jambs, and I don’t want to talk about trifles.

By the way, I don’t know what they did to PPV-1V during the modernization of the Su-24m, but on the modernized Su-24m2, the PPV looks a little different. Maybe they finally eliminated their jambs with this trampy backlight PPV -1V ????

Hello for long long time i was looking about information for su24 gunsight and also i was looking for its photo in operational mode ; thanks for the pic i want ask you do you have more photo of its gunsight when its on or when its in operational mode also if you have for information im glad to khnow it
