Yes, despite his name, Béniamino Posniak was an Italian engineer. He was also the author of Il libro del volo. Enciclopedia littoria della giovinezza italiana, Monte San Pietro, Casale Monferrato, 1938) . In the 1950s, Posniak shows up in the US.

Qualche Schema per il Bombardiere in Picchiata means 'Some Patterns for the Divebomber'. Here Posniak is just illustrating the variety of airframe arrangements suitable for divebombers - a flying wing, a pusher carnard, twin-boomed and twin-engined; and two biplanes (one twin-engined, one single-engined).
