Experimental helicopter built by Otto G. Luyties of Baltimore, in collaboration with Prof. Wood of Johns Hopkins. The goal was to prove the aerodynamic advantage of helicopters over conventional aircraft at the time, while competing for the Scientific American trophy for gasless machines.
