"The work of Lockheed's sound proofing teams"

It describes 3 different types of exhaust silencers being studied to reduce jet noise during ground tests. This was at the time afterburners were first being introduced (F-94 Starfire shown in the first 2 pics, XF-90 shown in the 3rd pic) and the article says that Lockheed was getting a lot of noise complaints from residents living near its Burbank facility in the San Fernando Valley.
