In japanese sources B6N2a seems be armed with four wings 13mm guns . Obviously the machine gun 13 was a Type 2 machine gun : an adaptation of germany mg131.

Hi! B4N2.
https://weaponsandwarfare.com/2018/12/20/nakajima-b6n-tenzan/

"Nakajima B6N2a – This type differed from the B6N2 only by having a rear firing machine gun of 13 mm (0.51 in) calibre, instead of the 7.7 mm (0.303 in) type used on the B6N2.

Nakajima B6N3 – Two conversions of the B6N2a resulted in the B6N3 prototypes equipped with 1,850 hp (1380 kW) Mitsubishi MK4T-C Kasei 25C engines for evaluation as land based bombers."

Up to the B6N1 No70, it was equipped with a 7.7mm fixed machine gun in the left wing, which is unusual for a Japanese Navy ship attack aircraft. It was equipped to control enemy ships' anti-aircraft guns during a torpedo attack, but had been discontinued since Unit 71.

Then how did the pictures involving the wing armaments come to be? Are they just theoretical concepts?

I will search the picture. I'm not sure a version with 4 machine gun 13 mm on wings is a fake or a real plan.

Please show me the page which include a version with four 13 mm machine guns at the wing, or I read Japanese explanation.

This is not the B6N but the earlier B5N Kate, fitted with the H-6 radar. Notice how the wing antenna when viewed from the side look like gun barrels:

That actually makes sense. I can definitely see the similarities between the gun barrels and the radar antennae. Also, in the original B6N picture, you can actually see the radar antennae on the sides too.
