Mysterious 50cal machine gun

Hi people,

looking back on old posts on this forum, I stumbled across this pretty mystifying SACO machine gun, mentioned in this text discussing the STK 50MG (posted by @Abraham Gubler, who as I'm aware is no longor active here). Does any forum member have any recollection of such a device? Thanks.

I'm very interested in this myself.

I've seen it pop up a little bit in a few of the publications from skylancer-3441s collection of scans.

I will post what I've found in a few minutes or hours, currently looking for something.

But by little bit I mean little, don't get your hopes up too high.

Edit: I've attached most of the files, the last one I'm thinking of features even less but maybe someone who was there took some photos.

The first two are from IDR 12/1985, the last are from IDR 12/1983.

Btw as intriguing as this gun is I'm even more interested in this yet more elusive "lightweight 50 machine gun" by Ramo.

Edit 2: Attached information from IDR 12/1984.

Still looking for that other photo without much detail though. I thought I've seen one of the guns mounted on an armored car, or even more precise a Panhard VBL/Ultrav M-11 at one of these fairs, but maybe I'm misremembering.

Edit 3: Found the Ultrav pics in IDR 12/1985.

My gratitude to skylancer-3441 for putting all of this material online is hard to express in words.

But after hours of pretty much doing nothing else but looking for this pic I definitely need some sugar now.
Obviously there were tons of other interesting information which made progress somewhat slower can it could have been I guess.

SACO did experiment with a few different .50 cal concepts, but a lot of them never really made it past prototype or limited testing, which is probably why info is so scarce. прокат авто дубай
Could also be one of those cases where it’s getting mixed up with another project or just a brief mention in a document without much follow-up. Without more documentation it’s hard to pin down exactly what it was.
