Along with Kamov, MVZ/Mil' has rushed into high-speed choppers. Future Ka-92 cargo-pax contender, preliminary designated Mi-X1 (oh, what a deep sense in the name), said to be probably based on V-100 studies, have a pusher prop a-la X-49A, and will be a contender of Ka-92 for a 'regional commuter' role with speeds over 500 km/h.

Very interesting blade design too. Interesting that they do not seem to consider (at this point) the use of a wing surface to off-load the rotor at higher speed. Must be some tremendous vibration attenuation in the hub and on the transmission.

What is the concept behind the Mi-1X in the second picture (second series {#59})?

Looks like an assault helicopter.

Mi-1X looks like a solid potential corporate helicopter model. Any idea on a development timeline?

Interesting UAS version as well. Russian UCAR?

Behold and check new posts, Al.

You are good my friend! Wish I had that sort of response time out of the people at the office! ;D

As the Ka-92 drawings made for last year vertiflite:

Has this design been put on ice?
Unfortunate that. thought Mil was going to give Sikorsky, Eurocopter and AW a run with that design.

final Advanced High-Speed Hgelicopter (Russian PSV) configuration choice (Mil' vs. Kamov's Ka-92) postponed again for the third or fourth time till fall of 2012
winner will hopefully get funding for scaled-down prototype

Ha ha. So we now have the Mil X1, the Sikorsky X2 and the Aerospatiale X3 (well, it's actually "cube", but never mind).

What's next? The Chinese X4? The Indian X5? The Iranian X6? C'mon folks, show some originality there!

Well each new project needs to be one better than the previous one. B)

MVZ had it's own X1-X2-X3 projects range, too. surprisingly, exactly with those designations

Eurocopter has been using the 'X' nomenclature for its latest round of R&D since the mid 2000s

Very interesting! Thanks a lot for sharing.
