Just a general comparison between two aging fleets, niether of which are exactly front line now.

Which if any, has any quantifiable advantage, or is it as things usually go, with the advantage of surprise and greater tactical/situational awareness?

I am just trying to sort out my thoughts on this as the news is pointlessy bloody as usual.

Have a great weekend folks.

Well the Pakistani Mirages are specifically ground attack/bombers while the Mig-21s are interceptors. Might be better to compare the Mirages to the Indian Jaguars. The replacements JF-17 and Tejas are multi-role.

The Bisons have the Phazotron Kopyo, R-77 Adder/Amraamski and R-73 Archer. The PAF Mirage III ROSE I/IIIs have FIAR Grifo and AIM-9L/M - so air-to-air it's advantage Bison.

The Bison is actually a pretty decent upgrade it’s just the small nose is a lot to overcome. The Mirage is a ground attack beast.
