What it says in the tin basically. In January 1959 what is to become Skybolt is assigned to Martin whi h after all has the Bold Orion ALBM successfully flying instead of Douglass. Fast forward 3 years and the Martin Skybolt is very much a working proposition, successfully being tested/on the verge of entering service. When McNamara tries to cancel it Congress and SAC violently react and he can't quite claim it is not working it very demonstratably does..
No Skybolt crisis with Britain but no Nassau agreement either and the TTL Martin Skybolt and the Vulcans carrying it still are supposed to be replaced by SSBNs albeit later. Only will the US be as accommodating in say 1971 as it was in 1963?
