Greetings!

I'm working on an article on mid-WWII USAAF jet proposals and projects and need the above.

Can anyone help?

AlanG

It's not a spectacular three-view, but I have one of the YP-80 from a January 1945 illustrated "how to maintain every last little bit of your Shooting Star" manual.

Let me know if you want the full rez of the page.

FYI: the full report was from the 2018-06 rewards from this:

What I need is the original XP-80 - shorter, different intakes, squared-off wing tips, etc.

Are we talking about the same thing??

Alan

The Smithsonian's Famous Aircraft of the NASM, Vol. 3, has a 3-view of the XP-80 in first configuration on its endpapers. Do you have that one?

Can offer this, but I'm otherwise no help.

I feel like I had a book with the 3-view (along with L-133 info), but I can't find it. Possibly I am mistaken or it is in a box in the attic.

Good luck to you!

Not prototype. Only illustration from my cooperation with David Myhra

Here it is.
This is my artwork of the original XP-80 "Lulu Belle" on its first flight realized for the late Steve Pace's book:

This might have more than the sideview I'm posting; https://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Rare-Original-Lockheed-XP-80-Actual-Weight-Balance-report/301999504736

The drawing in this document is not the same one in the Smithsonian volume, though it's a similar general arrangement drawing. See scan of front/side view:

Very good!

Once again, many thanks to all.

I contacted the seller on eBay regarding if his document had more than just the side view but got no response - and bought the other one!

Its not the XP-80, its XP-80A, but it is a Lockheed original. Lockheed Horizons, Fall 1980.

Hey I would like to read that document in full. I was looking to email this request to the APR but wentt down a wormhole of stuff I want to see, but I should be working.
My question is can I access this ""how to maintain every last little bit of your Shooting Star" manual" with a subscription?
