Lockheed liquid hydrogen-fueled widebody double-deck concept

The oil crises of 1973 and 1979 still fresh memory, Lockheed in 1980 explored several designs for airliners using liquefied hydrogen for fuel. Source: Bill Gunston, ed., The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Commercial Aircraft (London: Phoebus Publishing, 1980)

In 1981, Lockheed designed also hydrogen-powered Supersonic airliners: the first for 300 to 400 passengers on 7,400km at Mach 2.7, the 2 others similar for only 250 passegers. The goal was to enter service near 2000 year.
