Lockheed Georgia (GL-/LG) designations

Lockheed's Georgia division was created in the late 1950s and is mostly specialized in transport aircraft.
Apart from a few distinct projects, the bulk of the known Lockheed Georgia designations applies to variants of the Hercules, whether built or unbuilt. This is a work in progress, any details and additions are most welcome!!

That's the earliest system, which was used in parallel with Lockheed Burbank's CL- system.

If you wonder why the Lockheed California and Lockheed Georgia numbers are listed as CL and GL rather than LC or LG, you should know that the short forms for the company names (for reasons yet unknown to me) were Calac and Gelac, so those designations follow logically from that.

I have never seen any version of the Hercules shown with a GL prefix, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it never happened. The only company designations I have ever seen are 82, 182, 282 and 382 (sometimes with an "L-" prefix) along with the commercial L-100.

GL-208 was a civil version of C-130 Hercules
GL-135 a well known one

to the same designations,but we must motice that,there were two L sequences.
