This is a 1/144 scale display model of the TSTO CL-655 from the late '60's. I gave it to William Escher, the guy who ran the effort to deisgn the SERJ engines for the first stage at Marquardt.

A slightly earlier copy of the same model. This one was made specifically for a yet-to-be-completed sci-fi movie, to serve as a set piece. As it was made ina bit of a rush, and with a few missing details, it's not as accurate as the other.

Orionblamblam can you comment what yet to be completed sci-fi movie?

It does look very promissing. A bit like Warren Elliss' Ministry of Space in fact.

Thanks Orionblamblam. Pre-production in mid-2009 for a mid-2010 release?

It has been greatly delayed due to the usual reasons... money. It was originally supposed to come out in, IIRC, 2003 or so. David Sander, the guy behind MCS, is currently working on another movie; the backers of *that* movie are, reportedly, going to fund MCS if they like what they see with the first (non-sci-fi) flick,

Thanks for the update Orionblamblam. I wish David success and hopefully will see your model on film.

Any chance we'll see CL-655 as a kit?

A possibility. Two chances:
1) A very limited edition 1/144 scale version, adapted from the same molds used to make these earlier display items. Almost certainly ridiculously expensive due to the size.
2) A slightly improved chance of a 1/288 version for "Fantastic Plastic." If that one comes to pass, it will almost certainly be a result of CAD modeling and rapid prototyping.
