I am Dutch, lapsed ecologist turned computer programmer, now retired.
33% German - not much of a surprise, Germany is half an hour's drive away. An English colleague once remarked on the similarities in culture - clearly from the same part of the world. I am mostly aware of the differences, but an outsider's perspective is always welcome.

Canadian people are nice - it’s the geese you have to watch.

Think of the Canada Goose as you would a Canadian hockey player. Both are capable of patience and politeness. But get into the corners with that hockey player and the elbows come up. Crowd their goalie and the gloves come off.

IOW, when the geese are treated with consideration and kindness, they will generally respond in kind. Threaten or disturb them in any way and you are taking your life into your hands. [1]

This appeared in my feed. Before YouTube, before DVDs, and maybe still, production designers added little jokes to sets.

"Lingha," a word associated with Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction, is on another. "Trip" and " agaric fly" (the latter referring to Amanita muscaria, a mushroom that has psychotropic effects) are also on the button console.

My personal favorites are the "Shakti excess" which is essentially the creative feminine force of the universe and the "PRANIC LIFT 777".The keypad's design is a bit of subliminal esotericism by the late button pad designer, Simon Deering, after reading one too many Madame Blavatsky books.
