No. I suspect that outside of Europe, few do. I've *never* seen any references to that movie beyond the Secret Projects Forum.
It was the time of the high-tech villains who appeared in the trail of James Bond, there was another one called Diabolik that was much worse.

It was not meant seriously, obviously ;)
Here in Czechoslovakia (I know, Europe) in the 1970-1989 French and Italian movies were the few Western movies available so they were watched religiously. Otherwise there were only Zwei Nasen and The Professionals. Even later they were on TV all the time.

I think this 2CV will be the successor to my mini camping Berlingo because - after a few ‘minor’ modifications - I could fly anywhere with it, wouldn't have to put up a sunshade or extend an awning and would always have the biggest ironing board in the world with me - in case my shirts get creased on holiday  .

EDIT: Only just realised - even with a barbecue unit. It's getting better and better!

The 1960s Fantomas trilogy is campy pleasure to watch
Jean Marais as Fantomas and archenemy Fandor.
Louis de Funes as Commissaire Juve
Gave those three movies cult status in France and rest of Europe 1960s.

And the corny twist in those movies was that the very same actor played both Fandor (the playboy who sided with the commissioner) and Fantomas (their enemy). That led to some speculation as to the real identity of Fantomas, but that point was never clarified, either in the books or in the movies.
Also dating back to the 1960s, also featuring a spooky masked character, and with even more of an impact in France at the time, was the (serious) series Belphégor, which told of the Louvre museum's phantom...

Say, did they ever go to Glasgow?

ah Belphégor french TV series with 13 episodes was big success in France and Germany

Another french series i like is La Brigade des maléfices
the strange and bizarre cases of duo Police Officers, specialised in Occult and Paranormal
dealing with poltergeist, woman from Venus reporting a Human con man, vampires who do Hold-up on Blood banks.
the Devil who sell TV sets with TV program that drives owners to murder.
or Escort service that use artificial subbucus to kill rich clients.
and love sick fairy kip-napping young men

There were many weird one-off DS variants and modifications, real or imaginary, but none as weird as Michelin's real-life "Mille-Pattes" (millipede), an 11-wheeler (the large 11th wheel, smack in the middle of the cabin, was retractable).

Why not (almost) flying trucks? OA-63_Praga_V3S.jpg p_v3s_oa-_63____vojensk__technika__1968___.1_483.jpg
The predecessor: oz-64____vojensk__technika_1968___.1_179.jpg
And the succesor: Praga_V3S_oz-88_2.jpg
(The first one is a Praga V3S with OZ-63 de-icing euipment, aka RD-45 jet engine on a rotating platform. The next one is Tatra 111 with the same engine in the form of OZ-64 push trailer. And the last one is again V3S with OZ-88 de-icing equipment, consisting of the M701 engine from an L-29 Delfín. These were somewhat common.
Allegedly two drunken guys tried to race with two OZ-88, on the Ruzyně airport. And somehow everybody survived. Did anybody try THAT with the jet T-54? I doubt so. Amateurs.)
Of course on only trucks could have a jet engine. tryskace.png

A Czechoslovakian MiG-15/17 with afterburner?

Did they use the truck to power the air intake?

Insufficient engine cooling

Insufficient engine cooling
Liquid cooling is the solution to the (apparent) problem - when we prepare our Thüringer Bratwürste* and the barbecue gets too hot, we use Bier** to quench the fire.

* (a staple food here in Thuringia - I fulfilled my daily duty and ate one today)
** (German synonym for liquid)

From a video on filming a new Thunderbirds episode in 2015. The gray haired man standing behind TB2 is Alan Shubrook, one of the modelmakers from the original series.

Humor is kryptonite for communism, socialism and environmentalism, it is the first thing they control when they come to power.
Look for cold war cartoons on the internet and you will see that most of them are against the West, they have a ministry just for that.

What you are saying here is true, but I can't see how the second picture relates to your argument at all, since it is clearly a French-language cartoon mocking Stalin. Even your third picture seems to be a criticism of communism, not something emanating from the communist countries "against the West". Need more coffee Justo, maybe? ;)
