Are any three-views of the new Virgin Galactic LauncherOne available yet? Or could anyone do one?

Damn, they ditched Scaled and WK2?

For this program. Still using them for their tourist vehicle (which I don't think is ever going to become operational).

If you're interested in this stuff, go read the Parabolic Arc blog. Doug Messier has more about them than you can ever imagine. Just tons of stuff, lots of good analysis. He reported about this 747 back in July, before anybody else did. As he noted at that time, it seemed like a big retrenchment for the company. They keep shifting designs, engines and now launch vehicles and launcher aircraft.

Virgin Galactic bought out Scaled's share in the whole project (The Spaceship Company) a couple of years ago. Technically it's all in-house now, I think.

"Scaled Composites and Virgin Galactic had originally partnered in The Spaceship Company, a separate entity that would build the SpaceShipTwo and WhiteKnightTwo vehicles once the prototypes had been tested. However, Scaled had pulled out of the partnership years earlier. It would now be up to Virgin to build and test the second SpaceShipTwo.

Thus, Scaled’s involvement in the program ended not with the handover of SpaceShipTwo and the feeling of a job well done, but with yet another painful loss and a haunting question that no one would ever be able to answer."

The coolest part of their new plan is that I flew on Cosmic Girl about a week before she was pulled from service, so in a few years I will hopefully be able to legitimately say I've flown on board a Space Launch System B)
