- A design for a two-axis carriage was presented to representatives of the OKM on October 18, 1944. Further work on the design has been suspended due to a lack of personnel. Project work on the three-axis carriage has also been halted. The possibility of adapting the land-based carriage for use by the Navy is being investigated.***

- Postwar report
Gerät 58 in a two-axis carriage for the Navy:
The naval command intended to use the army carriage largely unchanged for installation on ships. Since the device's center of gravity is neither vertically nor laterally aligned with the pivot axes, the handwheel forces are too great when the ship rolls. For this reason, it was planned to install the hydraulic control system of the twin 3cm gun turret M 44 U. This plan was not implemented.**
