Over the next year there will be celebrations to mark the centenary of aircraft building at Kingston, Surrey, England. Events kick off over the jubilee bank holiday weekend in June.

The Sopwith Camel, Hawker Hurricane and British Aerospace Harrier were some of the aircraft designed and built at Kingston over the years.

More information can be found on the website:

http://www.kingstonaviation.org

which will be continually updated.

Re: Kingston Aviation Centenary - help wanted

The organisers of the event are looking for volunteers to help out with a half day's help over the Jubilee weekend festival.

If you are interested please e-mail Fiona at: events(at)kingstonaviation.org

Replace the (at) with @ in all e-mails - trying to prevent a spam attack!

Fiona will get back to you with further details of available roles/timeslots etc.

As part of the events you will get to meet many aircraft designers who worked on many secret projects - P.1154, P.1216, SABA etc., as well as the Hunter, Harrier and Hawk!
