Couldn't find any reference to this chap on the site - some seriously weird 'concepts' from end of WW2 onwards - certainly unbuilt!

There is a pdf of a book on him at
http://www.peenemuende.de/hti/fileadmin/user_upload/Ausstellungskatalog_Janke_vs_von_Braun.pdf

which some might find entertaining....

Regards

Fred

a littel note on Karl Hans (Joachim) Janke
born 1909 in Kolberg Germany
he was an obsessed inventor and gifted cartoonist
its unclear if he was a Engineer or not

he was kick out Wehrmacht during WW2, because of psychiatric problems

from 1948 to 1988 he was inmate of Castle Hubertusburg - a psychiatric facility in GDR (DDR)
on order by the GDR Authorities

the Doctor "diagnosed" chronic paranoid schizophrenia with The symptom of his illness was "delusional inventing"

It sad way to spend you rest of life in Cell, with only way to escape is drawing rocketsships...

It should be noted, that he mainly designed spacecraft, not aircraft and as Michel already
pointed out, the seriousness, or at least feasibilty of his designs is somehow doubtful.

That's right my dear Jemiba,

but some of his designs were aircraft, very weird concepts, but ....

by the way, could we move this from Postwar aircraft Projects to Theoretical and Speculative projects ?

Yes, definitely more appropriate ! ;)
