My friend Thomas sent me this Russian designs:

Both Ka-35 pics were published on www.brazd.ru, but I wonder because there was already existing a Ka-35 compound design from 1964 with two Kusnetsov NK-8 and four lift engines RD36-35S. Is the drawing shown in the files a project designated Ka-35 too (second use of the designation)?

I've found the tilt-rotor designs in the "Aerokosmicheskoye obozreniye" magazine No. 3/2005 (page 127), but there were no captions. Any idea of the designer and type number?

Further information are welcome!

Does anybody know more about this compound helicopter project designated Ka-35 too, shown on www.brazd.ru a few years ago? Is this a second use of this type number? I just know the ‘Vintokryl’ Kamov Ka-35 (source: “OKB N. I. Kamova 50 let 1948 – 1998” by Kusnetsov).

Has anyone found out whether this second "Ka-35" was an actual Kamov project or some fantasy?

it's not a 'fantasy'. these are in-house scetches
