If may, I wonder if Edward Vincent, Newton and / or Samuel Percy Beach, the sons of Newton James Beach, founder of James Beach & Sons, in the early 1870s, were the individuals who built the aeroplane in question.
Beach senior and at least some of his sons had been involved with gasoline engines since the mid 1890s. They seemingly put together a steam-powered automobile before 1900. By the mid 1900s, James Beach & Sons sold and repaired automobiles.
By the way, an outfit linked to the Beach family, the Pioneer Motor Works or Pioneer Motor & Aeroplane Works, began to act as mechanics for the English aviator Bentfield Charles Hucks at some point in 1911. That partnershup may, or may not, have lasted long.
The Hucks in question was the gentleman associated with the famous Hucks starter.
