J-36 Model by Nx4eu

On my model the total array area including the side ones is 2.8m^2. Very large. The nose array is 1.7m^2 and the side arrays are 0.5m^2.

Draw a line through the canopy section and then extrude, then use the Intersect tool to choose the extruded and the solid body then you will see two bodies, uncheck the merge result and then you will have two solids as you can see in the tree.

In this case I just used a servo, yet it shows the outcome.

If you cannot find the tool just look in the search commands dialog box at top right-hand corner.

Regards,
Yeah I figured this out today, wasted an hour or two fiddling around with it

In your instance might be better to use the split command which allows you to split and save the parts.

That I also did figure out, I'm using wrap to create the detail/faces on the surface while i used split for the canopy.

You can also use the split line command, in the insert, curve, split line command.

in that case you do not need to extrude the cut line.
