I've found the site to be quite useful in the past, an alternative to wikipedia for basic information, especially about army equipment, but it seems to be down, and I think it has been for a bit. I don't see a "this site is available" message, so I'm wondering if anyone knows what is up with the site?

I was looking up on the internet about this website and thanks to google's very smart algorithm, other than this post, I found what's seemingly nobody talking about it.

militarytoday.com sadly I have no info of (yet), military-today.com however (pardon me for not really understanding the full, FULL picture), was turned into an Indonesian gambling site now of all things (which explains why it was blocked here)

However, with a bit of luck and digging the past, I found an untouched snapshot of the site and found their contact email. I am asking them about this on email since I have never opened this site prior to this and I don't see another way to contact them.

If anyone else knows more, let me know. I'll be updating if I get a reply (or I don't forget to send it)

P.S. pardon my manners if they don't meet the rules here, I am quite in a rush

EDIT, hours later: email address not found, oh well I tried

hi, the military-today was a project founded and owned by Andrius Genys. Unfortunatelly, he passed away in a mysterious car accident back in August 2023. His family, as far as I know, did not want to continue with his military-today project and sadly let it go down...

It’s likely the site is temporarily down or experiencing server issues. I’ve noticed it’s been unavailable for a while too, and there doesn’t seem to be any official notice or maintenance message. It might be worth checking their social media or using the Wayback Machine if you need access to older content. Hopefully, it comes back soon, as it’s a solid alternative for quick info on army equipment.
