This is strange ,

In Scott Lowthers APR prototype issue, Vol.0 No.0 , long time
viewable on the web via his site , these so called Daimler Benz projects
were mentioned as a Curtiss study on a single configuration but with
varied dimensions...

Well, V0N0, being my first venture into writing such things, turns out to be poorly written. If you look at the page immediately prior to that shown in the PDF above, the article was written by two Curtis engineers who designed hypothetical aircraft around assumed DB engine characteristics to figure out what the Germans *might* be capable of.
