Hi to everyone interested.
I have followed you past links covering the HP Victor and HP-99 with great curiosity.
I'm trying to find if there is any visual reference on how the Victor carried the various airdrop nuclear weapons. My guess is that the Blue Danube was an older Valiant era device, replaced by the later smaller Red Beard - or Red Snow models. So many code names I keep uncovering..
Did any Victors carry such devices - or was the standoff Blue Steel the main designated device. I see from your links that 4 or was it 2 US skybolts were a planned under wing addition.
Out of interest - There is a CGI model of the Handley Page Victor underway at: http://www.milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=512
The team at Milviz have already built a detailed version of a Vulcan B2 http://www.milviz.com/modeldetail.php?type=2&id=VulcanB2
This model is proposed to represent the Victor in 3 versions, The K2 Tanker as well as a “generic” Victor in white anti flash and one in later RAF camouflage.
The modellers credit using the plans from http://www.albentley-drawings.com/handley_page.htm
One other request. I have seen some great profile illustrations, but does anyone have any colour photographs of the early Victor prototypes?
I hope to modify the Victor model when completed with some Blue Steel and Skybolt versions or even re-work a crew escape capsule
+ has anyone read this account of the Blue Steel testing incident in Australia?

Seems that post incident, it left 2 big "wrinkles" in the top wing surface of XL-161 above the intakes, running back for about 4 ft.
Again regards to all
