Guppy Question No2

Ok, another Guppy question. Airbus held an internal competition to provide a successor to the Aero Spacelines Super Guppy Turbo. The winner was the Aerospatiale led Satic consortium with the Beluga, however IIRC British Aerospace also proposed an alternative solution. Does anyone have any details...?

You are probably thinking of the Super Guppy conversion based on the Bristol Britannia turboprop. Contour did convert a few Canadair-built CL-114s to carry out-sized cargo.

You mean the Conroy CL44-O SKymonster... ? nope... definitely not thinking of that... this was late 80's early 90's...
