to avoid confusion, the first and second picture in your post are not associated with the Rockwell Saberbat concept. It is actually a hypothetical design developed by a German model builder in the early Eighties as a speculative 'what if' Grumman FSW configuration dubbed 'Rakecat':

The correct link has changed. At http://www.pmcn.de/English/E-X-plane.htm you'll get the whole story of how the guy invented the Rakecat using an AIR International description of the project as a basis... and got pretty close to the actual Grumman project!
