Hi,

the Grokhovski G-40 was a cargo and parachute drop aircraft version
of the G-37,but I don't know if it actually built or not .

Oskonbyuro (Special Design Bureau) by P. Grokhovsky in the mid thirties of the last century has been active in issues air landing /the air-drop.
Designations G-39, G-40 and G-41 belongs to the family of gauze parachutes. Pretty cheap to manufacture, but more than percale / mulmull intended for the same load. (- Diameter of 5, 10 and 15 meters and weighing 30, 80 and 160 kg., Respectively.)
Universal detachable cockpit G-37, in an emergency or on special assignment was supposed to drop by parachute diameter of 40 m. The designation of the parachute G-№? I do not know (( In any case, it is not G-40.

Thank you very very much my dear Borovik,

but I know that the G-39 was given to the design Inflatable or Kukuracha.

My dear Borovik,

do you have a drawings to G-39,G-40 and G-41 ?.

The designation G-39 fighter project originally belonged to the pusher propeller. But after the failure of his counterpart overtaken "Cucaracha", an inner symbol in the middle of 1935 was transferred to one of the commercially produced parachutes.
On the double notation inside Oskonbyuro I mentioned in Reply # 6;

Nevertheless, despite the failure of "Cucaracha", Grokhovsky not abandon hope of implementing the ideas of ram - fighter. Figure plane in the view of the artist A.Preobrajensky of P. Grokhovsky article - "Aircraft of the Future" magazine "TM" № 8-9/1938.

Excellent my dear Borovik,

I think that,in a Russian museum,they spoke about Grokhovski G-34
as a ramming wing fighter project,it could be a misprint and they
meant G-39 ?!.

Some pix for dear Hesham
