Hi,

all I know about Greece aircraft,that was a company called State Aircraft Factory,and
designed a Chelidon,it was a two-seat trainer/recce biplane of 1927,but I found this
strange light monoplane,and I think it was also from Greece ?.

Re: Greece Unknown Monoplane ?

Yes my dear Jemiba,

you are right about the second airplane,it was from USA;

Light Monoplane 1925 = 1pOmwM; 17hp Indian Chief; span: 25'0" (?>28'0") length: 19'9" v: 60/x/25. Dry wt: 350#. POP: 2; the first was sold, and the second was 2p with 28hp Lawrance in 1926, and later a 40hp converted Ford A. The airfield at Athens was renamed in Epps' honor for his role as Georgia's aviation pioneer.

And I think the first one was not related to AEKKEA-Raab.

Hi,

I try to safe the situation,so I change the title,and I will open a new topic for Epps aircraft.

Some informations about EAF (= Airplane Factory of Phaliro, in greek) / Greek Naval Aircraft Factory (official name in english)

Joint venture with Blackburn.

1925 Start of the production of "Velos", based on a Blackburn design, 4x build in the UK, 12 in Greece = total 16 for the Hellenic Navy plus 2 for Blackburn / Grand total = 18

3.1926 First flight of "Velos"

11.2.1927 First flight of "Chelidon", first indigenous design, 1(?) build

Also produced in licence:

Armstrong Whitworth Atlas, 10 build
Avros 504
Avro 621
Avro 626

1937 Renamed in KEA (= State Plane Factory, in greek). It exist until now and is now a part of the Hellenic Air Force

==============================================================================

Searching for informations about EAF, I found a few words about manufactured german planes at PYRKAL (= a greek munition factory), that were than exported in parts to the Franco regime in Spain
