Found in the Brochure "Hellmuth Walter (1900-1980)-Seine Unterseeboote und ihre Hochleistungsantriebe",
a design from 1934 for a submarine driven by a Walter turbine, which was listed by the Reichsmarine as
Typ V.
Was my first thought, too, but if we compare it to one of the very first "modern" submarines,
the Holland VII "Fulton", it may be is somewhat relativised (drawing from vectorsite.net).
Will post the other designs made by Hellmuth Walter in a new thread, as I thought, the
Typ V might be more interesting for many people.
