German latewar naval radar/detection system development

German radar seems to be an underdiscussed topic in general, especially naval radar. A month ago someone posted this image involving the use of "Berlin" radar on submarines and small craft (which was carried out):

What other naval systems were being considered, planned, or developed in the laboratory? I heard there were infrared detection systems being designed, for example

There was an article in Warship issue 27 from back in the 1980s on the subject by Erwin F Sieche.

Issues 21 & 22 had articles on German Naval Radars by the same author.
