Asking for a friend (textiles conservator/restorer at Glasgow Museums) ... I was musing DH. Albatross ? and possibly Normandie for the vessel ? any thoughts or suggestions ?
Dear Boys & Girls, there's what appears to be an Art Déco DH-95 Flamingo masonry vent cover on my local library (Kingston-upon-Thames library which is actually in New Malden).
I'd agree its a DH.91 Albatross. I can't think of any other likely streamlined 1930s British airliner design.
(It's not the DH.95 as it clearly has four propellers).
The ship looks like it could be the Queen Mary judging by the bow features.
