Israel's Navy tested the Gabriel 5 today.
The IDF was oddly secretive about the missile for a while. I'm assuming this signifies its position in the IDF's strike capabilities portfolio. This is odd because from what we know, it's a relatively short range missile (<300km in export variants). The only potential adversaries in that range are either non-threatening, or with whom Israel has a peace treaty.

First Operational Use of Gabriel 5.

Israeli Navy conducted today a strike on Yemen's Houthi-controlled Hudeydah (Hodeidah) Port.
This port is Yemen's largest, therefore it's the most frequently hit, and where the Houthis put the most effort into restoration.

In contrast with all previous publicly known strikes conducted by the Israeli Air Force, this time it was the Navy.
The operation was said to have been conducted by the Navy's 3rd Flotilla and involved 2 missile boats, including one Sa'ar 6.
The missile boats reportedly fired 2 missiles over a distance of "hundreds of kilometers".
The only publicly known missiles in Israel's Navy's use of that range are the Gabriel 5, variants of whom are in service in Finland and Estonia, and possibly Singapore.

This is likely the first operational use of the Gabriel 5. Previous Navy engagements in Lebanon, Gaza, and Syria, are said to have involved Spike NLOS missiles and other shorter range munitions.

EDIT:
It is also possible the missile involved is a Rafael Sea Breaker, which is in production and said to be operational, but its users are not disclosed and the IDF has never acknowledged acquiring this missile. Although likely to mostly succeed as an air launched weapon (Ice Breaker), its existence as an AShM was revealed a year earlier, indicating potential first use as such.
