flying test

;D
Well, I suppose it could have been worse...a brick wall instead of a timber shed.

When asked by Prof. Dennis Mingthruster 'Are you alright?'
The test pilot replied ' I'm perfectly fine Susan'.

And mores the point, I've known a few people in my time who would have done this kind of thing for free.

;D

Cheers and thanks for a great pic Justo. Made my day.

that picture has this urban legend that goes like that:

in 1950s a airplane manufacture made Test flight with new plane
but engine fails so and Pilot make REPAIRS IN FLIGHT
engine restarts and Happy end ?

I saw a video of the same sort of thing. Some journalist wanted to go out into the boonies deep int he heart of Alaska; the only way to get there was via airplane (Piper Cub, much like the plane shown here). However, the Piper did not have the range to fly from Point A to Point B, so the pilot did a lot of gliding through the mountains to save fuel. However, the engine failed to start once, with the mountains looming up; so he stepped outside just like this, tinkered with the engine, got back in and it started. The journalist - filimg from the back seat - was less than pleased with this.
