Wow. Beautiful bird. Must have taken beaucoup person/hours (correct term these days?) To design/fabricate/transport and assemble the display.
Being California, I am certain there is a sturdy laterally-braced red-iron frame somewhere inside that assembly.

Okay, silly me, it was Samuel Oschin. Read his Wikipedia bio. Insane. Jewish-American born in Dayton in 1914. Started work at age 10 cleaning chimneys-even hired other boys to help.
