I have a technical question related to the F-5N avionics. Information available online suggests that these aircraft received the LN-260 INS/GPS with a small color MFD installed in the cockpit in the place previously occupied by the radar's CRT IP-1278 Data Display Indicator while in Swiss service.

My question is: if the original APQ-159 radar was replaced with the APG-69, did the above mentioned small color MFD provide any control of it, or were the radar projections displayed only on the F-5N's HUD?
