I understand. But BMD especially often relies on networked sensors, so the launch platform does not necessarily need organic sensors. That was the logic behind the US Arsenal Ship. JFS seems to be better equipped for self-defense but could still potentially serve as a remote launcher for other ships with actual BMD sensors. I recognize that this isn't part of the announced mission for JFS, though.

I mean, CEC et sim absolutely lets a launcher use sensors from someone else.

But I'm kinda doubting BMD missiles taking up space in the "Joint Firepower Ship" except as defenses for the ship itself. Which would suggest a much smaller missile than the L-SAM-II ABM/BMD/GPI. Missiles more in the SM3/SM6/K-SAAM II class.

The arsenal ship will address Korea shortcoming of immediate land attack by providing a relatively low-cost, mobile, and survivable launch platform capable of mass salvo fire at a moment’s notice.

This choice of building few arsenal ships may seem weird, but it makes sense when you consider how small useable land is available in ROK. They could increase more fixed launch silos but they become more vulnerable as they are immobile. North Korea borrow thousands of artillery pieces into mountains and routinely rest fire or harrass.
They could build more mobile launchers but if you consider the cost/energy/logistics of building/maintaining enough launchers, security force, base requirement standby.

But perplexed me if vessels few of them are attacked. Would just be simpler ro accommodate destroyer with veerically extended VLS or flush against the superstructure.

It's because it's not used as purely an arsenal ship but also more similar to the Japanese ASEV BMD or fleet defense
Otherwise large USV missile barges would be best. They are working hard to produce a lot of USV and even UUV. So this should be their first choice.

Huynmoon-5 ridiculously large type missiles are never numerous enough to justify shifting from land based mobile launchers to sea based ships anyway.
