Does anyone know what this is?

It is rather odd, it could be Italian.

First of all because Italian designers really did weird designs during 30's and in second place because the motorcycle looking suspiciously like a Moto Guzzi "V "Corsa" issued by 1933.

Last but not least the tail seems to have the typical pre-war Italian flag:

Said that such aircraft remains unknown to me....

Considering the tricolor tail marking, it seems unlikely there's a direct connection, but the design reminds me a lot of the German Raab Krähe:


(Sort of a silly name, since the designer's name translates to "Raven", and the type's to "Crow" :)

Very interesting, different aircrafts but conceptually similiar.

What is the reference?

The odd thing is that the photo on the other thread illustrates the Grifone with civil serial code "I-CARP", but such code was previously assigned to a Caproni Ca-100 (a small twin seater trainer) during 1938:
