Deadly tire blowout Atlanta Airport

Tragic accident in Atlanta. On Tuesday a tire from a Delta 757-200 that had arrived from Las Vegas on Sunday was being worked on at Delta's airport technical operations maintenance facility when it exploded killing two workers and seriously injuring a third.

Either existing procedures were not followed to the letter, or they sorely need amending. It is a sad byproduct of the fact that aerospace is (and always will be) an imperfect constant work in progress. My sincere condolences to the victims.
