Curse of the Wind Witch

A pilot I knew was getting a demo ride in an Ercoupe when it was attacked on the runway by a tumbleweed. It stuck in the landing gear and added so much drag that the plane staggered into the air and barely made it over a fence to a forced landing. He didn't buy that one, but the one he later flew was attacked on the ground by a parachutist who somehow missed the rest of the airport and managed to land squarely on the tailcone of his Ercoupe.
