Technically, I'm not quite certain this type qualifies as a "biplane". Monoplane is more like it...

Very interesting! The text says that this aircraft started off as a biplane but was eventually entered as a monoplane for the military competition.

Actually, it was the Concours Militaire (Military) version that was the biplane. and the monoplane version was a "Type Monoplane du Course" (racer version). They simply left off the lower outer wings. Both versions were available with the twin, side mounted 50 hp or 70hp Gnome rotary motors linked to central drive. This is from Original 1911 Coanda Catalogue.

SIA is not the name of the plane, it is the name of the company which built it:
Société Industrielle d'Aviation - Etablissements Delaunay-Belleville, with premises at Angers and St Denis.
It had expertise in construction out of Duralumin alloy. Henri Coandă worked there during WW1.

I wonder if the plane is their entry to the 2Bn competition ?

PS: in the title, Belleville should be spelled with 4 "L", for future searches, please

From AFM13,

Before applying his discovery to a circular shape, Coanda had imagined
a propellant made up of successive horns, each accelerating the air of
the previous one. This model shows one of the possible applications of
this airplane imagined in 1932.

I've found these pictures on the net and it seems that they were found in a folder coming from the Caproni collection.
From the flag on the fins it looks like a French Aircraft and it can be dated in the 1917-1925 period
The identification remains unknown at least for me. Any info on this bird?

This is the 1917, French, Coanda-Delauney-Bellevile fighter, powered by twin Hispano-Suiza V-8 engines.
