Constantin Chilowsky a French scientist, in the field of underwater acoustics and TV imaging, thermo-propulsion and aerial torpedoes. To this end, he filed several patents, including the patent of 18 October 1939 relating to Improvements to diffuser thermal thrusters and the patent of 02 November 1939 on guided aerial torpedoes. The author presents 09 configurations of the torpedo (07 with thermal thrusters and 02 with a solid rocket) with two guidance options (wireless and wire guidance). The torpedo is launched from an aircraft against ground targets or against an enemy aircraft as a wire-guided AAM missile with optical and acoustic targeting. The aircraft could release the torpedo from an altitude of 3,000 metres above the ground. As an example, the torpedo could be dropped 15 kilometres behind the front line to strike a target 30 kilometres behind the front line, travelling a total of 45 kilometres at a speed of 300 m/sec in two and a half minutes, during which time the aircraft would have travelled only 15 kilometres away from the enemy front line.(Translated with DeepL)
