Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French about the Chantiers Aéronavals Romano R-100 "project" for a trimotor 33 seater airliner. It was designed to the same Air France May 1934 specification (to replace the Dewoitine D.338 airliner) as the Dewoitine D.620 and the Bloch MB.300 Pacifique and would have been powered by three Gnôme Rhône GR14 Kdrs engines.

Span = 27 metres.
Length = 22.1 metres.
Wing area = 95 square metres.

The Romano R-100 remained an unbuilt "project" even though it was selected as a contender by Air France. Please, do any of you any further information, drawings or designs to share?

The article comes from the 1st March 1967 issue of Aviation Magazine International......
