Whilst researching the R100 and Nevile Shute - came across work with Sir Dennis Burney on a design to carry 4 torpedo fighters.

scroll down to 'early 1940'

I hope this is new - a search of the site did not show any links.

Remarcable discorvery fredgell !
Thanks.

That Burney amphibian looks a lot like the soviet Kalinin K-7 bomber,

cheers,
Robin.

Yes, there is a real Kalinin K-7 feel to the design, and maybe a whiff of Vakhmistrov's torpedo-gliders or the composite Daimler Benz Projekt C carrier + Projekt E/F piloted missiles project.
Anyway, it's a great find - just the sort of thing that makes this site such a joy to behold.

Question: in which chapter should I include the 1940 twin-boomer above in my catalogue ?
1- Experienced design bureaux
2- Other models to be built and used
3- Enthusiast dreams of those years
Thanks for your help.
